After graduating with Honors from the Indiana University School of Law in 1987, I have represented injured people throughout Indiana. In fact, since 1987, I have only represented injured individuals and the families of those who have been wrongfully killed.

In a recent case that involved a severely burned child for example, it was obvious that this injury would have lifelong consequences both physically and emotionally for the child and her parents. While the claim was pending, I understood that in addition to legal representation, it was important that I was available to listen to the family’s concerns and offer some practical solutions. I was thus able to refer the family to appropriate social services that were also able to provide assistance while the claim was pending.

My firm employs a registered nurse and consults with a variety of experts who provide invaluable insight into how an accident occurred and how the injury may affect my client over their lifetime. For example, I recently represented a young man who developed a blood clot in his leg because of an auto accident. In consulting with a vascular surgeon in Chicago who had specific expertise in treating blood clots, I learned that this type of injury usually worsens with time, particularly with younger individuals. This information was very useful in proving how this injury would adversely affect my client’s ability to work in the future.
